The initial repair did repair 82 items, however it did not fix the problem. However, clicking & keyboard input seems to do nothing. The mouse cursor can still be moved and is visible in the top 1/5th of the screen. EDIT: Clarification: After a couple seconds of flicker, the lower 4/5ths of the screen go completely black and the top 1/5 continues to flicker. EDIT: I ran the repair tool again, this time it reported a different, but expected, message, "Repair is complete, and no problems were found." Running the launcher says WoW is up to day (completely, there's no "applying non-critical updates" or anything). The graphics issue still presents itself during login (specifically, during the character selection screen). Having more experience with these things, any suggestions for next steps short of re-installing WoW? (Also, if I do need to reinstall, I have a LOT of keybinds I'd like to keep, which file should I backup so that I don't have to manually redo all those?) Thank you! EDIT: I tried deleting the WTF folder. There have been no new addons, software, system updates etc. This crash doesn't allow me to force-quit or tab out, it doesn't give a crash log. About 15 seconds later, the flickering & crash happened again. I was able to type in my login info, see the character screen, and successfully log onto a character. This time I ran the WoW Repair Tool, it said "WoW has been repaired" so I tried logging in using the Launcher. Again, unable to force-quit (or tab out / minimize / etc) I shut down my computer & restarted. Immediately, before I could type in my WoW login information, the graphics flicker came back. After restart I tried logging back in to WoW. I let the system sit for 2-3 minutes, but when it appeared it wasn't going to fix itself I held the power button & shut down the computer. I was unable to do anything, so I attempted to force-quit, but to no avail.
Kind of like what it looks like if you videotape a CRT display, but much much worse. On mousedown my graphics started flickering black/colors. After buying the Rose Petals (with the vendor window still open) I tried to move the purchased Rose Petals from one bag to another. I then used the workaround "/run BuyMerchantItem(11)" to purchase Rose Petals (I had used this method yesterday without issue). Attempting to complete the Love Is In The Air achievements, I bought a Bag of Candy from the vendor. Was not experiencing any problems at all until today. Playing on iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB memory NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS (512MB) OS 10.6.6 Playing at 1920x1200.
